I graduated from Lynnwood High School in 1987. I joined the United States Navy and spent the next 4 years serving my country in different parts of the world learning that we genuinely live in the greatest, most rewarding country in the world. After my service, I spent time working in different fields of expertise including heavy aircraft maintenance and as a balancing technician.

Through friends and family, I was turned on to learning the masonry trade. It was a drastic change from being a 2nd class petty officer in charge of safely launching and recovering a 40 million dollar aircraft on the front line of an aircraft carrier to starting from square one, being yelled at for mud or brick. The military taught me to swallow my pride, shut up and learn. It worked. I couldn't have asked to be a member of a better team of family and friends. Now after many years with Western Masonry, first as a hod carrier, then a bricklayer, and currentyly as an Estimator/Project Manager, I am proud to say the journeyman bricklayers I have learned from are truly the best. Quality is job "1", and we do not cut any corners. Doing things the right way is our "motto" and you definitely get what you pay for.
